Theoretical Knowledge

Equipment selection and limits of usage, equipment inspection and records, care and maintenance of
equipment, equipment storage, general equipment for rope access, methods of communication, exclusion
zone, Hazard identification and risk assessment, hazard avoidance and rope protection, record of rope access
works and suspension trauma.

Practical Skills

Use of backup devices, Use of ascending devices to ascent and descent, Use of descending devise to descend
and ascent, Change from ascent to descent and vice versa, Passing deviation (single and double), Passing Mid
rope knots, Rope to rope transfer, Passing Re-anchor, Passing Edge, Passing mid rope protector. Rescue on descent mode from a separate set of ropes. Horizontal climbing with fixed and moveable anchors, and Climbing with a fall arrester. Demonstrate elementary Knots, basic and small Y hang rigging, Rope protection and hazard avoidance.

Practical Knowledge

Complex rescue participation, rigging re-anchor, Rigging deviation (Single & Double) and Selection of anchor
points, and Use of rope protection.
Hauling and lowering the load using a pre-assembled system. Use of Pulleys (Construction and Understanding of Mechanical Advantage). 

Note: The practical knowledge of the candidate shall be assessed under supervision.

aid climbing, Basic hauling on hanging and Cross hauling.

Rigging re-anchor, Rigging deviation (Single & Double), Rigging wide Y hang, Rigging tension rope, Rigging
retrievable, Rigging vertical fall arrest line, Rigging for Hauling and Lowering, Selection of anchor points, and
use of rope protection.

Practical Knowledge

Complex rescue participation, Rigging work restrain line.
